Trebuchet
What is a trebuchet?
A trebuchet was an ancient war machine, used to toss projectiles at the enemy. We are now building one for grade 12 physics. Ours however will not be nearly as large as a medieval boulder tosser but in lieu of that, be able to project a tennis ball to a minimum of two meters. We will build it to be approximately 1mX1mX1m.

Video Clip of a TrebuchetThis isn't our trebuchet and we won't make it as large as this one, however, this is probably half the size of a medieval trebuchet. Ours won't be throwing a 6 pound stone so obviously it will be considerably smaller. About a tenth of the size of this one.
